well..another entry for the day :)

hmm...what to say ah? anyway, as most of you all know, we went for a short vacation (more like drive really) last week. we came back on saturday evening. we left on thursday after i got off work and thought of going to colorado..but with the snowing up there and all that..we figured maybe not this time. the long uphill mountainous roads can be very treacherous lah kan. so sean decided that we should go and explore this part of iowa where we seldom go to.

drive punyer drive we stopped somewhere to buka puasa. but i tak posa lah that time..hehee..anyway, after that..we found out that rochester, minn was only 40 miles away. and i have always been to the airport jer..like minneapolis and st.paul..so why not visit this town kan. call us nerds..we decided to spend the night there and look see look see around town just because that is where the Mayo Clinic is. mayo clinic ni bukan clinic mayonnaise eh..hehe..it is a specialist clinic where they will conduct tests and stuff to find out what is really wrong with you when all other doctors or treatment fail. it is a nice city and we found this ethiopian store. belilah roti injera dia..cam tosai but very soft and smooth and so sedap when you eat with their lauk2.

anyway, i thought nak explore more, but sean cakap..we have to move on. so off we go..to wisconsin. for some reason he decided that he has this inspiration to drive along the whole of the mississippi river...and we came to the town of la crosse. beautiful nyer..didn't know that this part of the midwest is somewhat mountainous. the scenery is spectacular. the fall colours wahhhhhh..all the golds and the reds and the yellows and siennas...too bad kita tak bawak camera. we forgot all about it. anyway, he drove on..i thought we'd be spending the night there but, nope..he drove on and on..lahh..i pulak..asyik buat beading till late at night..apa lagi..fell asleep on the passenger side. i also heard sarina berdengkur and sarah toksah cakap..she definitely out because she had cough and cold so the medication made her drowsy. bila terbangun, masih lagik driving..until we reached dubuque, iowa...that was where we spent the second night. very quaint town...lots of old buildings that is so beautiful. it reminds me of some european city or town gitu..more towards the french style of architecture. and sean komperm that it was a french settlement back then.

the next day we drove across the river into illinois and went to galena...pergi nengok rumah ullyses grant..lantaklah spelling nama president tu. his home is well preserved although some of the stuff are replicas. but all the woodwork and the furniture are originals. then after that..kiter balik lah..drove through illinois, iowa and then into missouri baru masuk kansas. i boring gak sebab we didn't get to see and explore more..sean said..never mind. this is just recon mission. we will definitely be going back there again and explore la crosse and all the other towns that we drove through.

here i would like to say that the weeks prior to the trip..i was so stressed. betul i cakap..ada rasa cam nak lari gitu. but then pikir nak lari kemana eh..nak lari kat motel kat sini..everybody knows us..or at least knows him..nanti takut scandal pulak..dah jadi gossip satu kampung. so tak leh lah nak lari kat situ. nak lari kat rumah kawan i...nanti sean tau kan..so tak syiok lah..i nak kasi dia cemas sikit ni. nak balik singapore..jauh sangat and then sarina pulak sekolah..spoil programme. in the end..i pikir..ahhh..lari kat leberi...since i have the keys to the library..i leh ler duduk kat the childrens section..baring2 kat gazebo dia..ada toilet and ada bantal lagik..hehe..

anyway, reason why i am feeling this way..jangan ketawa eh..betul..it is not funny although it is silly....sebab i was stressed about sean nyer obsessive compulsive behaviour towards having to pick up every single thing and also his drive to make this place spick and span. wait wait...i know it is not a bad thing...it is good. i am happy that he wants to do all this..but yang tak larat nak layan this sort of behaviour is when habis..bebudaks pun kena jugak. i mean..it is a good ermm..trait lah to inculcate into the girls..but kalau dah hari2 kena terpekik terlolong..wahhhhh..i pun bingit. and not only that...dengan i sekali kena berleter by him tau..wahhh..cannot take it. but takper..kasi him a couple of weeks to see if this would work..and nope. i finally had it..i sampai stress tak tahan..twice in a span of less than 3 days..i left the stove on with something on it..dah berasap satu rumah...first time minyak panas...second time a pot of chilli...sampai rosak i nyer le creuset nyer pot...

after that incident..i finally told him that i cannot take this lah..it is not possible for me to change in two weeks after living the way we did for like over 8 years..it is insane. and to expect a 7 year old to do a certain jobs which i didn't do at that age..let alone him yang kena pampered selalu...told him that..and to expect si sarah to do stuff..mmg tak munasabah..so we came to a compromise...that we start with one or 2 things first and then we move on from there. and so far alhamdullilah...it is working. slowly slowly lah kalau nak change..unlike him..i am not driven. i normally take my time in doing things and i will get it done. tak lah alih2 jer nak tukar..no...i am not wired that way. kesian i nengok sarina..sampai one night she cried at the stairs..sebab i nyer mood very dark..she asked sean why he is always mad at her...ye lah..i pun tak tahan sehhh...anyway...i think i am overly stress sebab i have been taking this medication and to stop suddenly..i nyer stress level wahhhh..makin naik..always in a bad mood. now that i am back on..back to normal oready..happy selalu..hehehehe....and then..the trip..my schedule for this mth is really messed up. berterabur,...and then he expects me to not work or find replacement just so we could take this trip, when we agreed that we were not going anywhere in the first place...manalah darah i tak naik lagi. lainlah dia..he is his own boss..i ni makan gaji kat leberi tu..kalau leberi tu i yang punya..lain lah kan...wahhh..cannot take it sehhh..but now..alhamdullilah..dah reda dah..back to everyday routine..hehehe..

see kak za..i pun sama cam you jugak..hahahaha...kalau lah singapore to cam naik bas 30 nak gi pasir panjang..kan ker best eh..or naik mrt gi tampines ke..ni balik2 kat situ jugak lah ...wahhh panjang lebar seh i tulis...hehe..tapi takper...ada banyak lagi citer yang i lom tulis kat sini..where i pakai baju kurung gi keje semalam..and one guy said that i am celebrating halloween early...lerrr.....tapi disebabkan he is not altogether there..takper lah..bersabar ajerlah..heehe

new day and eid mubarak..

well, today is hari raya. do i feel like it is hari raya..nope. but i do feel a bit optimistic. so insyallah, all will work out. as for this ramadhan..i felt that i could have doen better. maybe i did , but maybe not..but it has been a difficult one for me. but it's over now. time for self reflecting and all that and hopefully next year i will be better about things.

went for a short vacation. well, more like a drive really..driving from one state to another. we went on a 4 state visit. we went to iowa, minnesota, wisconsin, missouri and then back home. oh i forgot..we went to illinois too. so that made a 5 state drive cum visit. will talk about this later in another entry.

for now, i would like to take this opportunity ti mintak mahap to everyone that i have come across in the blogging world. to kak za, kalau pegi itu perjumpaan, ingatkanlah daku yang kesaorangan kat sini eh :) sri kalau makan lauk pauk and kuih muih raya tu...kenangkanlah daku disini..hahaha. mona..selamat hari raya..to nissa same same ah...to hartini, time bakar satay tu..remember me yah..my peberet tau :) to yaslam. naddy, nora, lin, khaty, yati, suriyati (yang tengah enjoy kat singapore..hehe) and the others that i might have forgotten to mentionlah...selamat hari raya and maaf zahir batin eh :)
