well, ingatkan nak buat keje dulu then update..hehe...but i figured might as well get this out of the way. nanti takut pulak..maklumlah i ni kan....since i am in the groove to update..might as well get into this routine..kalau tak..bak kata nissa...kalau bulan tak mengambang, takder lah muka i ni kat memana clog..including my own eh..hahahhaha.
well, sean and i have been under the weather. not that bad but every morning we feel crappy. i feel that my throat is so full of phlegm , while sean said that his joints and achy and felt like a cold is setting in...anyways, we attributed it to the fact that perhaps it is just the change in weather that is making us feel this way. also, the fact that we have not been getting into any exercise routine..hehe. i mean, since we have the DVR..we can record whatever shows and just sat there in front of the tv watching it. so yesterday we decided to go for a 3 mile hike at the lake. oohh..it was a gorgeous fall day. the wind is cool..but not cold and the sun was shining. the whole landscape has this deep red gold kind of hue to it. too bad tak bawak camera and also..again..i have forgotten to take the adapter from the other house when i was there. i remembered when i stepped into the house, but once in there i got side tracked with something else and voila..i didn't take it with me.
sean also, followed my advice..hehe. we didn't drive up on saturday. we went on friday spend the night and most of sat in eudora. i helped gina paint a set of wings for some school decorating crap. know what..i enjoyed it. i am thinking that i would like to take up painting..ahhh...this is when i really appreciate sean a lot. not that i don't appreciate him lah..kak za, i think you and i are the same lah..hahahha. sean is very supoprtive of what i want to do..my beading stuff..he didn't mind it at all..god knows how much i have invested in the materials. my cooking stuff..tok sah cakap lah..my addiction to books...dia tak pandang pun..hehe. then now, i am thinking of getting into painting. he said go ahead..he thought that i ni adalah artistic tlent..albeit perhaps latent..i ketawa macam nak rak..hahah. i manalah ada talent..fail lagi ada..
sri and zul..ingat tak mrs. lee..itu art folio cover kiter kena buat?...you dengan your cute penguin..i can't remember what i did..but i remembered tangan terketar2 nak paint itu straight line so that it wouldn't terkeluar ring...hahaha..sib baik dah tua tua gini adalah jugak hand control..hehehe. so we'll see. i know that sarina has the skills. i have framed a few of her art work. a water colour painting of a tea cup..and an acrylic/oil painting of sone abstract stuff that she had done in art classes. sarah..well..sarah is sarah lah..she has the skills..like sarina to colour within the lines..but punyerlah slow....and it has to be when she is in the mood.
niarikan, i ingat i nak masak nasi ayam lah..ehh..wait wait..i thought as i was washing the dishes that i had made up my mind to make soto ayam..hehe. hmmmm..now not sure lah..maybe nasi ayam jugak lah yang i buat. but then..the girls and even sean is not into it. they prefer nasi goreng or just plain rice.. apadah..the best complete meal they all tak minat...let alone rojak..ada jer komen..hehe. nanti they all..eh i will bakar belacan and goreng ikan kering..hahahahaa..
well, we got a lot more stuff from the house last saturday. two more trips and we are done. so no more trips up there unless necessary. NE Kansas has lost it's charm to me..well with the exception of lawrence and kansas city of course :) okaylah..better get going with the painting...need to get it done at least by tomorrow. that way..i can move on to another room :)

conversations with a four year old..
sometimes kan while walking to and from anywhere with sarah..i ended up laughing out loud a lot. actually walking with the girls is funny. just listening to their conversations jer dah tak boleh tahan. but eventually have to step in jugak when the topic is about butt, poop or fart.
is it a universal thing with kids. i was once talking to my sis in law when she mentioned that another nephew who is about sarah's age, well maybe slightly older, would say the malay version of those words. and it dawned on me that it was not an isolated case with my children.
anyway, while walking sarah to school yesterday, i sort of jokingly asked her if she could walk to school by herself. now that we have discovered a short cut, via the back alley, the school seems to be a lot nearer. she said that she could not walk to school by herself. i asked her why. she then proceeded to tell me that she is still tiny. she illustrated her tininess, by showing me how tall she is , using her thumb and her index finger. i said..really?..and she said yes..also she said that if she were to walk to school, by herself , she will be killed..alamak..how did she come to that conclusion ni..hehe. she's probably been watching too many CSI episodes with me lah ni..hehe. anyway, judging by the way some of the ppl drive nowadays..i am not surprised. anyway, told her that , that will not be the case insyallah.
she also got to bring home a styrofoam cup filled with dirt. apparently, they have planted a pumpkin seed. she was so proud of the stuff that she brought home from school..nobody can hold that cup lah..walaupun jalan cam nak jatuh, but die die the cup ppl cannot touch...hahaha.
sarina is still pestering me to buy pumpkins..i said no sebab it's a waste of money. well, what can i say..the whining went on and on and on. i am not looking forward to the drive up to hiawatha this afternoon..well to eudora actually and tomorrow to hiawatha. ni lah sean..if follow my plan, we could all go up to eudora today then spend the night in hiawatha and drive home tomorrow. nooooo..it has to be his way... drive up to eudora later..then tonight itself drive back down to ellsworth and tomorrow morning drive up to hiawatha and drive back down the same day.
see, right now, he is on his way back here. he went up to eudora to pick up gerry, so that gerry could drive the boat down and well..help him move some stuff. okay..so up to eudora which is like 3 hrs..then 1 1/2 hrs to hiawatha, and 31/2 hrs from hiawatha to here. then later drive up to eudora to send gerry back home..another 2 1/2 hrs..and we then drive back down. then besok kena drive back up to hiawatha and back down..last night while talking about this, he said that he is not willing to drive over a thousand miles within a day...but besok nak go back up is okay?...what the hell...mine is so much better because you cut one drive up..we save 3 1/2 hrs of driving...but noooooo..

frost....
hoooo...sejuk nyer..macam winter pulak. just now while taking the trash out, i noticed that there are patches of frost on the ground. this couldn't be..i am not ready for winter yet...noooooooooo! but it will be here next month. so we'll see. as with how it was in the past, it takes a bit of getting used to the change in temp and weather.
apalah sarah ni...bangun tido jer asked me to go and get her ice cream..ishhh..anyway, the lowest temp for yesterday was in the 30s i think. this morning same thing. 36 degrees. the highest low that it will get for the day would be 43 degrees. i have my winter stuff here, well just the coat jer lah..but sarina's it still at the old house. tomorrow sean will have to go up there and get it.
actually yesterday morning it go to be so cold i turned the heater on..hehe..just for a short while jer lah then the weather started to warm up a bit and it got to be in the low 70s. today pulak it will be in the low 60s. if in Celsius kan..it would be something like between 17-20 degrees for the high temps. as for the low temps it is between 2-3 degrees..something like that lah. well..in some ways perhaps it is getting a good start. sebab last year nyer winter was a mess. but since we do not have any control in weather..we'll see what happens. since bush said that there is no global warming, and we all know how knowledgeable he is..we shall leave it at that :P
i am noticing something here. in some ways i can see that sarina is missing her friends over there kan. apa tak..they have all been together since pre-school. anyway, the past few days i noticed that she has been getting her clothes ready for school. she has been trying to look nice. hmmmmmm..i am wondering if the group of children here are different. hopefully not superficial , in a sense that they look at how she is dressed. she was never very particular about her style. if anything it is me lah kan sebab i want her to look presentable. but of late that is changing. ppl say that this is a good school. so we'll wait and see. i am not sure if i want sarina to change all that much in such a short time. maybe it is a good thing that she is has no friends coming home with her.
as for her being a tween....alamak sri...she is only 8 jer..ehhe..still have a few more years to go..ni have to go into rigorous brainwashing session ni..hahaha. anyway, she wanted to call her friends in town and i said no. you see them at school so let's just make it stay that way. no need to call them. unlike calling naomi or molly.
i ni pun tengah pikir apa nak masak ni..nak makan aper eh..not for the family lah but for me..well, if it is me kena include sarah sebab her taste is the same as mine :) i already have something in mind for sean and sarina..nak buat kuah satay and makan dengan lontong pun macam malas gitu...but nak kena buat jugak lah. two days ago buat kueh pau cina..roasted chicken pau..the filling tastes exactly like the filling that you get from buying the pau kat geylang kan..i pun tak tau lah nama kedai tu..but that is where the first halal paus were found.
anyway, made that and i got the recipe for the dough. it was soft yes..but tak lah segebu those that we bought. i wonder why..is it the flour..recipe calls for cake flour and i used softasilk..the dough was soft and moist except for the underside. it was somewhat dry...maybe too thick agaknyer lah when i crimped the underside...nak kena try lagi sekali ni..and if it turns out the same again..i can chuck the resepi aside lah..hehe.
kak za...how's the weather in westport?..dah ada frost tak? wonder how it's going to be this winter? gas prices are soaring...maybe like you said kak za..kiter pakai blankets berlapis2 jer lah nampak nyer eh..hehehe

my daughters sarina and sarah fay...
furby sitting in front of the keyboard..ni gambar two or three mths ago..he is a changed cat i tells ya :)
the conversations sebijik cam teenager nyer conversations sehhh..complete with the hand gestures and the body postures..she just came up to me saying something about some baby pooh bear toys. she was told by naomi that, molly, another friend bought this baby pooh bear toys and the parents got a letter recalling the toys because of the presence of lead in the paint that they used i guess. so here she comes running in telling me about it and also telling me not to buy the toys due to the lead paint right.
first thing..saper ni nak gi belikan dia the toys..perasan jer tau anak i sorang ni..then dengan penuh perasaan nyer was explaining to me the whole works and i as usual..one ear in and one ear out kan..hehe. so i just waved her away ... wanting her to go back to talking to naomi..like hello..long distance phone call cost money you know..hehe...i guess she must have been peeved because the next thing i know she was like using this frustrated voice saying 'GEEZ LOUISE....she didn't even care..my god..what if i had the toy..blah blah blah'...ketawa i sorang sorang kat dalam bilik..it's like i said..saper tah nak belikan dia that toy..hahahahahahahah...
sarah pulak dah tak sabar tunggu her father return home from work..i think she is stepping on this small pot trying to get to the rice..dah lapar sangat lah tu..nak makan nasi sejuk, i kater wait till i nuke it..but obviously she cannot wait. they had an outing just now during school. a visit to the pumpkin patch and it was cool so maybe kebulur lah ni..hehe. she brought home this miniature pumpkin...very proud of it..tak leh kasi orang pegang. sarina asked her how come sarah picked the small one..how come she didn't pick a bigger one..told her that sarah couldn't carry it lah..to which she said..if it was her at the pumpkin patch she would pick a 50 pound pumpkin and brought it home..haii..lantak lah sarina...hehehe.
sarah baru mintak air..suruh dia get it at the fridge..true to the fay children nyer trait..too hyper. bukan nyer nak jalan to the fridge..she was hopping..nasib baik tak hop into the wall...nyaris nyaris langgar tembok..dah nanti siap melalak...but she did thank me for telling her where she can get water..hehe. if anything she is pretty politelah , if she is in the right mood :)

feeling bored outta my skull...
entah kenapa pulak i am feeling very bored. i got the new books that i had ordered off of amazon and sad to say, i am returning 3 of them. ermm..not what i expected. guess what books i bought..apa lagi cook books lah. entah berapa banyak cook books i ada pun i tak tau. but i guess if you can call this a hobby, then it is collecting cook books.
i shared this passion for cooking with my parents. my father loved to cook. no body can beat his asam pedas lada hitam and his nasi biryani. well, his asam pedas tu kira my mom nyer resepi but he tweaked it a little. when i went home the first time after leaving singapore..this was the dish that i requested my dad to cook for me. apa lagi i makan tak berenti lah..i ate like 5 times that night. then he made his biryani and all sorts of stuff.
my mom was like me..or i am like my mom rather. she loves collecting cook books, crafts books..like crocheting and knitting. even sewing. my mom is good at whatever she put her mind to. me..i guess i am restricted to just cooking :) my passion and my hobby. dapat anak pulak, one is such a finicky eater while the other is the outcome of two extremes. sarina is eating like a bird. pecking at her food. right now her fave foods are tom yam and sushi..yep you read it right. she loves tuna sushi..between sean and her, they can spend quite a sum of money eating those. if she wants to eat rice, it is only with soy sauce and wasabi. before that, she loves asam rebus, then went on to asam pedas, then to chicken curry and now to soy sauce and wasabi.
sarah on the other hand loves rice. and cereal and milk. she loves drinking milk, ice cream and all that. that is the caucasian side coming out lah..on the flip side, she loves spicy stuff. she can almost eat spicy stuff as high as my tolerant level.yep....anyway, the books that i bought are based on our cuisine. i guess i am a purist at heart. i have books that show the modern version of classic dishes like chicken rice, or the deconstructed asam pedas...those do not appeal to me. i like to look at pictures that make me drool. that brings me back to the times i was in singapore, or when i am eating in my parents kitchen. to me, those are the recipes that you need to keep with you and hand it down through the generations. i hope that when the time comes, i am able to pass it on to my girls.
perhaps, when i am more have more patience i will take it slow with sarina. see, cooking for me is therapeutic. i need to be by myself and enjoy the prep time, the tasting, the sauteing, the seasoning...to me..it makes me feel so happy. doesn't matter if i am rushing like crazy and dead tired after all is said and done. to see the satisfied expression on the ppl that i cook for is enough to make it all worth while. anyway, i am waiting for more books to come. hopefully these ones are worth my while spending my money on them..hehehe

better get this in before i forget..hehe
just a short one. been meaning to put this down but always ter-forget. see, last weekend kan, we spent the night at our friends place. gedebak gedebuk the next day..terlupa pulak nak bawak balik our toothbrushes. so when we got back, suruh the girls berus gigi, they said that they couldn't find any toothbrushes. i cakap alamak..i terlupa nak amik from the bathroom lah..hehe

the demise of my electric range or oven...
alamak sarah ni..susah lah...it's like 11.00 pm and she is still not asleep. still running around chasing the cats..well at least dapat furby so that she can hug a cat to sleep with her. and sean pulak, likes to make her cry especially at night. all he did was hug her and not letting her go and she will wail like crazy. eiii..pening kepala lah dengar budak nangis ...he said that all he wanted to do is to tire her out...
anyway, back to my title above...ingatkan mmg nak beli dapur gas baru lah..maklumlah pindah rumah kan..but then decided that we wanted to save money and also, i really like my oven lah. it has a warming feature and all that crap. when we bought it 6 years ago, it was one of the top of the line for the smooth cooktop and have this duobake crap thingy which i still can't really tell what function it serves. all i know, is that it is a very very good ahben..hehe.
anyway, the control panel got jacked when we moved it and the front panel was broken a bit. i can't remember if i had told this story before, but anyway, to make story short, it will cost me more to repair this oven than buying a new one. really no joke..go figure. which brings me to this little factoid...it seems like sometimes it is better to just buy some mid range stuff..no need to go out and get the most advance thing on the planet when after all is said and done, ultimately, it is not worth your while repairing. so i am trying to find a basic gas oven this time, with unsealed burner with at least having one burner that is 14,000 btu lah..sad to say..it is bloody hard to find one. most of them have sealed burners and have read that it is not as powerful as the unsealed burner. anyway..that is the headache i am facing..did i ever mention that i hate shopping..hehehe. yeah i don't like looking for stuff..i only like online shopping for books jer..haha
today we bought our upright freezer. we need it soonest possible to transfer all the frozen meat that we have still in the old house. found the cheapest for a 20 cubic feet of space online for a great price. also found out that delivery charges is also not bad about $63 from kansas city to ellsworth. but guess when they said that the earliest possible day that they can have it delivered here?..november 28...alamak..punya lah lama...so nak tak nak kena gi and collect it ourselves. what to do...so we figured when we rent the U-Haul truck...we will go up there and collect the thing sekali lah..well sean will go with Gerry. i think i nak dok kat sini jer lah and wait for them.
just now went to wichita to look for more shelving stuff. to date we have spent like $350.00..this is just for the bookshelves. and it is nowhere near completion. in the old house, we spent quite a bit on a beautiful walnut bookshelf . custom made by a carpenter over there. this house, apa lagi..due to the layout and it being a newer and a much much smaller place the the previous one, we decided to go with regular shelf brackets and pine planks. it looks sturdy and i like it. the house will probably be covered with bookshelves once all is said and done.

fall is here...
yep..dah fall dah..it's been raining a lot and it is very cool now. tak lama lagi..winter will be here. next month jer..wahhh....not looking forward to that lah. but it will good if we have a hard winter this year.to kill all the bugs..so that next summer won't be like this summer. it was to buggy..hehe. normally, the winter will get rid of all the flu bugs too..so we'll see.
ni dah berapa hari raya eh..tak kira pulak..maklumlah..the most impt day to us was just the first day jer..sebab that was the day sarina was really looking forward too :) sebab boleh makan macam biasa. did i tell you, i was kinda nervous on her first day of school here...i thought okaylah..she can be a bit shy..but little do i need to worry. habis first day jer..she dah ajak some new friend balik rumah..until i told her to not do that first lah. i am not ready to meet anyone new lah..hehe. also she has found a walking partner. a boy in her same grade. tinggal pun tak jauh..apparently she likes walking with him. and talk about small world..the boy nyer father works at the same place as sean. while sean works in the dental clinic, his father works in the medical clinic side. so they meet and talk between changing of shifts lah..father works night shifts. so semalam i asked her if she wanted me to fetch her since i have to go downtown also...she said no need..she wants to walk home with morris.
sarah pulak..she is suffering from cough and slight fever. maklumlah change in weather. she is always the sickly one. sejuk sikit jer..hingus meleleh lah..orang2 lain demam..dia pun demam sama..but sakit2 pun..wahhh..tetap aktif gitu. two weeks ago..citer kelakar..sean and i wanted to go to walmart lah kan...so told her to get ready. then she tanyer pulak..why..where are we going? i told her that we are going to the store to return her because she is not working out for us..hehehe. she asked me why..and i said because she doesn't listen to us so we have to return her to the store and get a new daughter...so dengan muka sedih she went to put on her sweater and shoes..then she came up to me and hugged me and said...good bye mommy , i am going to miss you...hahahaha..i really wanted to laugh out loud..but kena maintain muka..ah..hehe..then i tunjuk kat sean..she went up to her father and said..good bye daddy..i am going to miss you...dengan air mata meleleh2...sean looked at me muka surprise..so i bilang lah that we are returning her...hahahhaa.....her father ketawa sebesar2 nyer and hugged her...saying that we are not going to return her to anywhere..that she is ours..hahahaha....
sarah2..senang nak kelentung dia..it is so easy to tease her...tu yang buat kelakar tu..but of course, as what we had learned with sarina..this joke can only be played once jer...hahahahhaa...but that sisn't stop me from showing her the returned goods nyer area ...telling her that this is where i will be taking her if she misbehaves in the store...hahahahhahaha
as for me..this past week...apa lagi..same same lah...bangun pagi siap apa yang nak kena siap for mana yang nak kena gi kerje ..mana yang nak kena gi sekolah..then it's just me and sarah for most part of th day..cleaning..cooking...watching tv and eating bon bons in the afternoon..hehe..also i need to stop this..been buying books off amazon...i think i have met my book budget for this mth already..hahahha..okaylah..better go..looks like i may not go for the parent teacher conference sebab it is raining and with sarah sick...am not going to leave her behind.

selamat hari raya...
okay lah..to all who have been visiting my site religiously and those yang visit accidently, i would like to take the opportunity to wish all of you eid mubarak :)
tinggal dua hari lagi jer puasa. sarina is counting down the number of days before life will be back to normal for her :) geli hati sometimes , in fact everytime nak buka puasa. i have to remind myself that she is only 8 years old and that she is somewhat very expressive. so everytime buka jer she will yell at the top oh her lungs ' YEAY! we can eat already. mommy we can eat'..you'd think that she would be stuffing her mouth with food kan..but no..i nengok dia makan sikit sikit jer..but bagus jugaklah..hopefully she will stay slim..tak macam mak dengan bapak dia. buka puasa cool ajer..but ah kau bertambah2 kadang..hahahaha.
i have to say, every tuesday and thursday, i have 2 1/2 hours all to myself. sebab both girls are in school. so it is extra quiet in the house. next year it will be 3 days instead of 2. next year pun, it is not until say late august. that's when the shool year start lah. sarah is into colouring right now. if she is quiet, i only have to look for her in the living room. on the couch hunched over the coloring book. first day of school, i tell you..she is so like sarina. true to the fay children nyer trait...i adalah wave goodbye kat dia..dia buat bodoh seh..she said goodbye but tak pandang belakang pun..terus masuk the school and made herself at home :) she learnt how to jump drop and roll. ruper2nyer, this is the time of the year the school kids are taught on what to do if you are on fire or if the house in on fire.
so sarah showed me how she did it..one jump..then she drop ..ni when she drop..punya lah lembut..then dia terus golek2..all over the place. but she will only show it to me and sarina but when i asked her to show sean, she tak nak. i think she is shy around sean tak?..kaka dia pulak..went to visit the local fire station. so when she came back she told me lah about how she questioned the local fire fighter. the gist of it..i gathered she sort of had a heated debate on why they need to save the pets . in this case our cats also. fireman said that they will not go into a burning home to save pets..so sarina indignantly, gave the fireman a piece of her mind..alamak...baru start sekolah dua minggu dah ada controversy lah sarina ni..hahahahaha. but at least i guess it was a controlled discussion. i asked her what happened after that..she said the fireman ignored her..hahahahahahahhaha...
on to other things..i made my monkey cup pineapple tarts..why monkey cup..sebab it is a free form nyer tart and malas nak buat kecik2..i made it big , big..hehehe. when i was baking the king..teringat pulak cam title all the silly chinese movies and for some reason the tarts reminded me of that.
next..i have made my tapak kuda..yeayyy!...will taste it during buka karang. now it is in the fridge. because the weather is somewhat cool right now and i terlambat nak gulung..one of then when i lipat itu kek..cracked a bit. but the ovallette ..wahhhh..i forgot how gebu the kek can be. kat sini takder jual ovallete...dunno why. bende mengarut banyak ada jual kat sini but cake stabillisers takder pulak. agaknyer FDA tak approve lah tu. so i would like to take the opportunity to thank cik Rozzan for the recipe. thank you nora for also providing the link to his blog eh.
also, one last kueh i buat is the chocolate treasures kat nora nyer blog. cuma tinggal nak taruk the cornflakes on the base jer..and so voila..tu ajer kueh yang i buat.
to sri..thank you for the package. itu twisties..dah tinggal 2 packet jer..the girls loved them. sarah lah makan banyak and sarina risau seh takut sarah bolot semua..hahha. they love the hairclips. mak dia pun love the hairclips..and tonight..apa lagi...vadai mari lah * goyang goyang kepala can achi berbual * :) i mmg dah lama nak buat vadai but ada jer yang buat idea i tergendala..but semalam i pegi amik the box kat post office sebab i was not home when they tried to deliver....wahhhh..very the happy :) thank you for the muruku's also eh..tima kasih bebanyak sri...insyallah Allah will balal jasa you yang sanggup mengeposkan barang kat orang di rantauan ni eh...hehehe. malam ni buka maggi kari with vadai lahh..sarah dah kasi gohead to buka puasa with her favourite curry noodles..hahahhaa.

finally...
after so long an absence finally i have found some time to blog balik :) thanks kak za for the tips on what to blog about..hahah. actually, it's not that i have no idea ke amende ker..but really the past few weeks so many things have been happening.
our move here to ellsworth, getting used to this new place..walking sarina back and forth to school, getting her registration done, trying to enroll sarah in the pre-school here. sib baik her pre school is very near. i think sarina can ride her bike to school already. i'd rather her bike to school than walk sebab the streets are very quiet here. the walk is not that bad..not that far lah but this is a rather quiet town. so we'll see. on the other hand..it is good exercise for me. sarah seems to enjoy the walk to and from school and she is really looking forward to going to school next week.
when i went with her to pick up the registration forms..ada ker tak nak balik..mati2 nak stay at the school...pastu when i said that we cannot..lahh...habis melalak sekuat2 hati dia kat situ..disrupting the class...ihh..paiseh seh..dah nak kena pujuk.
well..i received the package from singapore :) thank you eh kak chom, kak long and abang for taking the time to send it over and tenk you to makcik sriberry also for the gifts :) loved them :)
well..next week raya kan..nak buat kueh jugaklah walaupun only for kiter 4 beranak jer. ni ah tengah buat kuih tart nyer inti..maybe besok will do the kueh itself. my oven pulak rosak time moving. can turn on but will stay only at 350 and then tak leh turn off..kena hit the circuit breaker baru boleh tutup. then pulak tu..still this move is an ongoing process, terlupa pulak nak bawak acu kueh tart..so nora..i tak dapatlah pakai your gift to me..hehe.so i buat tart gulung jer lah..maybe simpler for me eh...and also will do the kueh that is on your multipy nyer page nora..the cornflakes one. and also will definitely do the kek tapak kuda..hehe. dah dapat dah ovalette.
kak za..you sedih part nak raya..samalah kiter..kalau lah dekat boleh buat kueh sesama tak? buat satay..kuah lodeh rendang..and the works lah..now it's only us jer... sarina is so happy nak dekat raya..not that she knows and understand the importance of eid..but it's more of being done with fasting..hehe. she is counting down the days. so far miss only 2 days..one because of sakit perut..and the other because of a field trip to the zoo..yelah..panas pulak that day tu..tak sampai hati pulak..but next year she will be bigger stronger and what not..we will not do that eh..hahha. so told her that she has to make up the two days that she didn't fast and i am thinking of doing it right away..well, the next monday and tuesday after raya lah..because of continuity..hehe
sarah..puasa yok yok :) but she is at least fasting half days now..so next year maybe longer? we'll see. anyway..ada wedding pulak petang ni kat hutchinson..and we're going there..will try to take some pictures lah..ni pun tak janji eh..

our move here to ellsworth, getting used to this new place..walking sarina back and forth to school, getting her registration done, trying to enroll sarah in the pre-school here. sib baik her pre school is very near. i think sarina can ride her bike to school already. i'd rather her bike to school than walk sebab the streets are very quiet here. the walk is not that bad..not that far lah but this is a rather quiet town. so we'll see. on the other hand..it is good exercise for me. sarah seems to enjoy the walk to and from school and she is really looking forward to going to school next week.
when i went with her to pick up the registration forms..ada ker tak nak balik..mati2 nak stay at the school...pastu when i said that we cannot..lahh...habis melalak sekuat2 hati dia kat situ..disrupting the class...ihh..paiseh seh..dah nak kena pujuk.
well..i received the package from singapore :) thank you eh kak chom, kak long and abang for taking the time to send it over and tenk you to makcik sriberry also for the gifts :) loved them :)
well..next week raya kan..nak buat kueh jugaklah walaupun only for kiter 4 beranak jer. ni ah tengah buat kuih tart nyer inti..maybe besok will do the kueh itself. my oven pulak rosak time moving. can turn on but will stay only at 350 and then tak leh turn off..kena hit the circuit breaker baru boleh tutup. then pulak tu..still this move is an ongoing process, terlupa pulak nak bawak acu kueh tart..so nora..i tak dapatlah pakai your gift to me..hehe.so i buat tart gulung jer lah..maybe simpler for me eh...and also will do the kueh that is on your multipy nyer page nora..the cornflakes one. and also will definitely do the kek tapak kuda..hehe. dah dapat dah ovalette.
kak za..you sedih part nak raya..samalah kiter..kalau lah dekat boleh buat kueh sesama tak? buat satay..kuah lodeh rendang..and the works lah..now it's only us jer... sarina is so happy nak dekat raya..not that she knows and understand the importance of eid..but it's more of being done with fasting..hehe. she is counting down the days. so far miss only 2 days..one because of sakit perut..and the other because of a field trip to the zoo..yelah..panas pulak that day tu..tak sampai hati pulak..but next year she will be bigger stronger and what not..we will not do that eh..hahha. so told her that she has to make up the two days that she didn't fast and i am thinking of doing it right away..well, the next monday and tuesday after raya lah..because of continuity..hehe
