dam dam dum..bunyi mercun..hehehe..but not here lah.. :)

tak lama lagi dah nak raya..lagi dua tiga hari jer kan :) tentu seme suri rumah dah sibuk sesibuk nyer kan kan kan kan :) tak macam i ni :) after yesterday..fuuhhh..lega dah. dah tak yah nak baking2 lagi. well adalah baking sikit2 jer..tak lah macam manic last week. and also alhamdullilah..bende dah selamat sampai kat sana. kalau tak..i ngan Sumi dah nak sembur fedex dah..hahaha...perasan jer i ni :) oh sebelum apa2..kak za..thank you so much for the soaps and the pillow mist :) the girls we so excited..tak sempat nak amik gambar..sarah dah bawak hers to the bathroom and started using it already. kakak jer, ada cermat sikit. dapat jer tuari..terus nak mandi seyy sarah..hahah. thank you many2 ah :) and to zee too..thank you so much :)

thank you so much zee :) you are a life saver..i have been wanting to eat pulut serundeng but malas nak masak serundeng kan..then tetiba jer..this came and apa lagi..i made the pulut that day itself and really enjoyed myself :) thanks so much and the girls loved the frames :) it is in their room right now with their pictures in it..hehe.

anyway, i ingat nak buat kuih makmur sikit and baked the rest of the london almond yang ada belen2. that was my third batch tau..hehe. got an invitation to go to joplin, to visit someone and well, insyallah we will be able to make it. so we'll see..next week sean cakap he has a long weekend. 4 day weekend and so we may make that drive. supposed to be the following week, but he ada pulak conference in wichita. on thursday and saturday. so tak leh lah pergi that day.

malam ni, tekak i nak makan masi pulak. actually tekak i nak makan taugeh goreng with kucai. i was browsing through one of my cookbooks and came across the recipe..looks so appetising and so nak lawankan dengan lauk sayur tu, i thought why not try and make this. ayam belen2 buat roated chicken noodle tuari..i goreng with serbuk kunyit and then, i masak sambal lada hijau ni :) so nama this dish, is ayam masak sambal lada hijau :) i think adalah resepi memana kan..i pun tak tau. but this was what i came up with :) i used lada hijau and lada padi hijau..but tak pedas sehhh...! tapi okaylah lemak rasa dia :)

ni lah sayur yang tekak i nak makan. resepi so simple..no need to use udang kering ker..ikan bilis kering ker...just garlic, goreng sampai brown and onion and i taruk lah lada padi sebatang dua..then taruk taugeh and then the kucai and seasoned with salt and a bit of pepper..tu ajer. love the taste :) oh i pergi kedai korean nampak telur burung..so i taruk jugaklah kat dalam this dish :)

ni last week nyer idaman tekak :) murtabak..inti dia sedap and simple. ground beef, garlic and onion diced and then taruk rempah kari and voila..dah jadi inti dia. i used instant prata..apa lagi..kawanku nyer brand lah...i goreng the bottom part first and then topped it with the ground beef mixture with egg. rasa jugak lah macam murtabak :) sean said sedap..hehe

ni pulak, time i tengah sibut buat the cake..sean went gallavanting alone in lawrence. balik jer he said, he couldn't passed this good deal up. meet his newest family member..the Ruger 10/22 with the 50 round magazine included. bak kata MM..orang beli lah kuih raya ker..kacang2 ker..langsir ke..ni tak beli senapang..hehe

anyway, about 3 weeks ago, i agreed to help my friend prepare the spread for her son nyer b'day. the theme was star wars. i ni mmg malas mmg kalau n ak sambut b'day ni..nak nak if it is thematic. but anyway, since i dah agreed to do it..buat jugaklah. it was alright..the cake tasted good to me lah, when i tasted the night before. i also made epok2 kentang and the cookies, the fruit salad, the pasta salad and also the sliders..or mini burgers. i made the b'day cake as well...hehehehhe..my first ever experience working with fondant :) you know how it is, you see ppl doing it on tv..it looks so easy..but know what..NOT! still it was an experience and i think i can pull it off again :) already i have 3 orders for these specialised cakes..hehehhe.

look at the familiar london almonds....hehe. itu chocolate chip cookies..i main beli jer for them. i ada jugak buat..but it didn't turn out as chewy as i wanted it to be..so malas nak buat lagikan..i main beli jer lah :) since this is a star wars themed b'day, my friend renamed the cookies. you have here, the anakin almond cookies covered with chocolate and the chewy chewbacca chocolate chip cookies :)

untuk mak mak and bapak2 yang datang, i made this carrotcake cupcakes with cream cheese frosting..which was renamed, count dooku carrotcake cupcakes :)

this was the main thing..it took me all in all about 5 hours to make this thing. and yeah..it looked a bit errmm..silly looking..hahahhaha..but this is my R2D2 cake. inside is chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. it is covered with fondant..and i don't know why my friend wanted to have fondant covered cake. i thought that she had tasted fondant before..so on the day itself after i had made it..she asked me how it tasted like. i said, it tasted like nothing..like dough and you can add flavour to it, but it will still taste doughy..to me it is so tak sedap..but since she requested..i buatkan lah..dia rasa and said that she didn't like it..hahaha..told her to tell the guests to not eat the fondant but just the cake inside :)

i tell you...balik kan, when we were in the car, sean and i had a good laugh. in the taste of home magazine, there will always be a section where ppl buat this thematic parties and we always laughed at it, because seriously, it looked so bad sometimes. and well, how ironic that i was requested to do this and well, let me just say that it is not as easy as it looks..hahahha. and now, i belong to the group of those corny ppl that did the thematic parties..hahha. anyway, i have 3 orders for special cakes :) one is a monkey cake..requested by sarina..sarah wanted a strawberry cake..and sean wanted a gun cake..hehehe..so we'll see if i can fulfill their requests eh :)

anyway, i would like to take this opp lah to wish everyone that knows me, Eid Mubarak :) Maaf zahir dan batin selama i started this blog lah.
