anyway, we went up and spent the night with the gerry and gina and their kids. the girls always liked it there and we always had fun lah. but on sat..there's the dread of having to go to brown county..i kira tak kisah lah..it is something that we have to do..but sean lain pulak..it really gets to him. didn't help the fact that hiawatha and the whole of the brown county has been declared a disaster area due to the bad winter storm that they faced. i thought that we had it bad in ellsworth but hiawatha got it worse. the had to call in the national guards to help clean the place up as well, we saw a lot of the power crew working trying to get the power back to the ppl.

when we pulled up to our driveway on the side of the house, there was thus huge branch that had fallen onto the roof..the other driveway..we couldn't get to it because there were tons of fallen branches..all big ones too. sean was mad that none of our friends had bothered to call us to let us know that there were fallen branches..lucky we went up this week..nothing much that we can do in terms of loading up the car and bringing stuff to the storage area...no east access to get to the car and we certainly do not want to use the deck nyer steps. i went to see my neighbour across the street to see if he would clean up the mess for us and we'll just pay him.

kristin said that she wanted to call us, but she didn't know our number....i have to say, i really miss my neighbours in hiawatha..they are all very nice. i am kinda surprised that neither cindy nor carrie emailed or called us to tell us what had happened. i can understand that they are busy and have things to deal too..but...takper lah..i told sean that i do not want their help in moving the rest of the things even though they had offered to help..we can finish it up ourselves and we'll rope in gerry..i will pay back in terms of labour..hehe..gina will probably need help in preparing the christmas things at her house..so we'll spend the night there and i will help her bake and stuff :)

well, then sean nyer ex-patient came up to him, well cut story short..the guy told sean that he thinks that there is decay underneath the crown that sean put in...when sean went to look at the charts..he found out that it was an old crown i think..one that he didn't put it on, but the old dentist and furthermore..the guy is known to not follow up on the instructions giving..like brushing his teeth..anyway..this guy is anice guy and perhaps not entirely there..but it got to sean..he got a huge headache..and well..things just got worse from there...

anyway..we left and headed for home. ice was all over the highway and that didn't stop ppl from driving fast and ending up in the ditches..we saw a few cars that crashed..then sampai rumah..saw that there was a foot of snow..sean tried getting the car into the driveway but the wheels kept spinning and it was stuck..nak tak nak..since we didn't being the snow shovel..he used a broom and i used the other broom..had to get on my hands and knees to get the snow from under the car...my jeans were wet and my toes were already very very cold..almost felt like they were going to freeze..hehe..takut pulak kena frost bite kan..but kete masuk driveway..then kena unload the stuff...wahhh..i tell you..my badan sakit2 after that..dah kena makan makprofen..hehe. 4 biji i telan. masak nasi goreng..then i tak boleh tido sebab in the car dah tido because i was fed up with sean. sarah pun tido the whole way..so at 1.00 am..sarah and i were still wide awake...ingatkan nak makan nasi goreng yang belen2..but found out that sean had finished it..hehe..so makanlah cheetos dengan sarah...
today..what a gorgeous winter's day...the sun was out and all seems well..outside ler..but not in my house..perang dingin..hahahha
the girls had fun outside..but kejap jer sebab it was cold and they were wet..tak sempat amik gambar diorang while they were playing..

Teruknya fallen branches!! I dont think you can clean them up lah..dah basah in snow, they would be very heavy. You need a tractor. Be careful, you can get carried away and your feet will suffer. We dont want frost bite. Perang dingin dah warmed up ker belum? Aisehh...what to do. Kalau tak leh sabarkan orang lain, kita sabar2 kan lah diri kita sendiri. and the weather's not going to help at all. Hopefully all goes well. Sejuk2 pun gunung berapi nak meletup eh..hehehe. Meh kita makan2 lagi.
kak za..mmg i cannot clean them up..cuba jugak tuari..but tak leh angkat lah..dah lama jugak fall..then icy..so stuck gitu..had to find someone and pay them to do it. tu lah..memula tak sejuk sangat..then alih2 jer..wahh..rasa frozen my jari2 kaki..perang dingin dah warm up sikit22..satu dua hari lagi nanti insyalla back to normal lah..hahha..ni seme hiawatha punyer sebab lah ni..isshh..mmg betull..kiter kena sabarkan diri sendiri..sebab tu tadi i went for a walk..balik jer..wahh punyalah ngantuk so took a nap..hahhaa..gunung berapi ni bukan tunggu cuaca panas..sejuk..tak sejuk..kalau nak meletop..meletop jugak lah dia.hahhaa..and mmg..mmg nak makan2 lagi ni :)
Tengok snow sana..cantik2, best2 feeling2 gitu kita kat spore ni..tapi ada jugak teething prob dia at the same time eh...you tau tak..kat pandan ni, last 2 weeks tgh musim hujan malam...this huge old tree ripped by the aging roots and tumbang betul2 sebelah bus stop and landed on the 2 way roads,betul2 this tree was in the front if my block..nasib baik takder org tgh nak nyebrang ke standing outside the busttop rumah i..u know yg bus 143 masuk tu...dari dlm rumah alih2 terdengar macam org heret gerobok besar n jatuhkan kat tangga..punyalah kuat..i ingatkan org pindah terlepas barang...rupa2nya pokok tua yg amat besar tumbang..lopong dah grd depan ni..fire engine segala semua sampai...betul lah..kalo ada org kat situ..mungkin dah innalillah..kita tgk pun cam eerie..the ground was damped by the daily rain masa tu..so, jadik weak...
I hope slowly2 you dapat clear lah or mebe yr jiran2 baik semua dpt kerjakan kat situkan..tapi cant help it..tgk snow tebal2 gitu best lah...i think i would eagerly help out tau sebab selagi i masih jakun, i think i can do a grt job clearing yr place tu...:))

i know the tree that you are talking about. that is a very very old tree..ever since pandan ada..the tree was planted there..kesian pokok..but tu lah..when they fall or break kan..you can hear the loud sound. mmg snow ni lawa...but bersinta seh nak keluar to do anything..nak bawak trash keluar pun bercinta jugak..hehehe...kiter meletop kat sini tak lama..sebab takder orang lain kat rumah ni..nak nak this house is so small..hahahha..nak tak nak..have to un-meletop jugaklah :)
Kak rosma,so much snow to shovel away and not to mention the fallen branches but you know i will say its still a pretty sight lah(only the snow though in this case not the fallen branches)..hehe.

In S'pore some people complain about the rainstorm. From what I have seen, I guess it can never be as bad as a snowstorm.

hi rosma, the snow looks nice.Maye kita kat sini tak pernah rasa snow agaknya...itu eh yang dinamakan white christmas. If its fit for human consumption, maybe boleh buat ice kacang....
zee...yep..like i said..all the seasons..are very pretty but a lot of work is really involved actually. as for the christmas tree..yes..it is real. :) smells nice..hahha...and yes my hub is a dentist..and let me tell you a secret too..he doesn't care much for other dentists...hahahaaha

yara..the rain in singapore is actually very nice..i kinda like the rainy weather over there..cuma time pepagi nak gi keje jer tu yang leceh..hahha/yelah nak naik bas with the wet brollies and all..and yes..the snow which are untouched are fit for human consumption :)
mona, yep..this will be a white christmas...we are supposed to get more bad weather this weekend apparently..see if it is going to bring us mire snow or ice..
Ish, nasib baik u dah pindah... if not, kena power cut off time freezing gitu, boleh buat maut... lagi2 tengok those trees tumbang, must be really frightening to experience. But those sunny day photos are beautiful!! :) I suka tengok aje, but ask me to walk in the snow, takpe lah, will make a pass *hahaa* I tengok your foot trails pun macam quite deep gitu. The girls ada buat snow angels? Alahai, seksa nye nak shovel snow... tapi apa nak buat, kan. Kat sana diorang ada main sue2 tak kalau u don't shovel the snow and they fall and slip on your side of the property when it has turned into ice?
Yea, kat sini dah sejuk giler but not as sejuk as over there. Today the weather is really nice though - warm and sunny. Can see the blue sky too :) but I know it won't last for very long.
