well, sarah and i are sick..hehe. so it will be sarah and i staying at home this week. sarina dah baik, alhamdullilah. hopefully sean doesn't get sick.
anyway, i always think twice or thrice or more actually, before frying ikan masin. paham2 lah the smell can be so overpowering. anyway, lauk air ada..and i buat lah sambal lada padi..nak sedap kan tekak makan kan..so i fried the fish. funny thing is, the girls did not complain about the smell. kalau tak..siap lah si sarah tutup hidung dia. so makan lah tadi kan. lepas goreng jer..i made sure that i sembur the whole house with febreeze berkali2 ...
well, sarina loves ikan kering apparently. she said that it tasted like fried ikan bilis. so she meratah lah ikan tu. sarah pulak juat ate rice with soup she said. i guess, sarina really liked the salted fish..sebab when i keluar kat dapur this evening to cook dinner..i nengok the cover to the mangkuk containing the ikan kering terbukak and it looked like some cats got to it..but i knew it was not the cats..it was her..sebab she carefully..pulled the flesh away from the bones yang garing macam keropok..and the kulit lah....hai tak kuasa i nak marah..
then sean balik, bukak pintu jer..he said, which cat had done its business ..halamakkkkk...i said no cat lah..it's the salted fish...ada ker cat nyer business..bau yang tersangatlah harum dia kata cat's business...hehehe. anyway, i better go now..cam lemah longlai..actually tak lah lemah sangat..cuma hidung sumbat jer yang buat uncomfortable..sarah woke up this morning..first thing she said to me was that her nose was not working sebab she cannot smell anything...hahaha. she also has the cold. then, just now kan, i transferred one of the dvd players into their room. so they have their own small tv with the player..diaorang nak nengok their movies..pun senang..tak yah nak kacau i kat luar..anyway, hooked it up kan..wahhh...sarina buat macam her own personal theatre. siap dengan the windows covered with her blankets..pop corn lah...wahh..then bila dah gelap kan..sarah said she wanted to turn on the lights because the dark is making her eyes burn..hahahaha...

Ooooh Rosma. Ikan kering memang my fav. Tapi semenjak sakit ni, dah terpaksa cut down on salty stuff...sigh.
Wah, personal home theatre for Sarina & Sarah eh...hee..hee. At home, I have tv sets in the hall, in my room and in my kids' room. Kekadang tu, all 3 sets will be on at the same time sebab semua nak tengok different programs. Macamana bill letrik tak naik kan.
Tengah sakit gitu memang sedap makan lauk air dgn salted fish. I am not big on salty food, but kengkadang kena yang salted fish yang garing tu, boleh ketagih jugak! There was one time we fried the salted fish tapi tak bau pulak... very minimal. Entah, dah expired agaknye. Anyway, do get some rest and hope you get well soon!!
haha! i tink i ever mentioned about ikan kering nya smell = skunk's smell. Itu my hub's nya hostel mate yg comment. Hidong mat salleh mana bole terima bau camgitu kan.. at least u r not staying in an apartment... imagine all the neighbours semua keluar carik the source of the stench! lol.

Wah I suka lah this background, betul2 macam note book. I saw salted cod in packet at Stop and Shop. Ingat nak beli, but takut pulak nanti orang marah bila kita goreng. Someday I will buy. Salted Cod ni tak mahal sangat mcm yg fresh punya. Kesian you all ni sakit one after another. I yang tak kena sakit pun heran jugak. Orang keliling batuk, sneeze in front of me, yet I dont get the germs. Maybe I eat to much junk food..heeheee

Wah kak rosma..ikan asin is my favourite..lagi lagi ikan sepat goreng or ikan kurau..mesti sedap makan with sop.i made asam rebus tt time and goreng ikan sepat ...wah the smell...sedap but lingered on for at least two days....no wonder lah si sean thought it must have been the cats...dan was away but didnt say anything when he was back...nasib baik..hahaha...but the thing yang heran..if i made taugeh goreng with then add a bit of ikan kurau asin he likes it...what a weirdo si dan ni sometimes.

yara...ikan sepat kering lah my faveret...hehe. makan dengan sambal belacan lauk air...ooh best nyer ..hehe. sekali sekala..takper kan :) mmg..kat sini pun sama..seme dah naik harga..gas and electricity..but cannot beat there lah..lagi melambung harga. apa lagi ada more than one TV kat sana...haha. but sometimes, you need it jugak lah..not so much for aper ker mende..but at least gives a bit of peace..today sarah the whole day duduk in her room..watching her own dvds :)
sweets...mmg...nak nak tekak rak sedap and dunno what to eat. kalau ada kedai jual mee soto lagi best :)yang garing lah the best..i love anything crispy and crunchy..hahha.yeah...but a lot of housework to do lah..nak nak laundry..maybe after laundry will rest a bit eh..hahah

ohoi cik sriberry..ikang asin ni mmg lah best. goreng dua tiga ekor..dapat lah makan dua tiga hari kan...wahh..mmg best bila you bilang you nyer menu niari..tadikan sarina balik..dia cari ikan kering nak meratah lagi..hahahahahah. i am addcited to yang garing2 punyer..best...sarah seems to be doing well, alhamdullilah..i gave her medication so nampak much better..i pulak..due to the dry air..hidung pulak sakit..hehehe
wah kak sri....pagi pagi buta ni baca you uat lauk lemak with ikan sepat sound so good to me...i cant resist ikan sepat lah..my dad n ihave a habit of frying it n makan sikit sikit almost everyday with most lauk..haha.I miss it.
And kak rosma..same lah us..kalau lauk asam rebus i will makan berpinggan pinggan too..i wonder if you have made this before but its is nice to owith lauk asam rebus panas panas..ikan kuran goreng u just pinch off the flesh and you gaul with sliced lada and sliced onions..sedap esp when you makan with samba belacan!!!!!

Ikan kering my favourite, ikan bilis lagi my double favorite. Samalah macam James, Kalau I nak goreng sardine ataupun ikan bilis dia cabut, cakap he's off to the pub to see his friend or he will disappeara upstairs to his office. You have a good rest okay and make sure you pun sit up and relax and watch your movie!!!
zee..samalah...kalau makan nasi with ikan asin..i will do that. sedap..and then kan ikan kurau kering masak asam pedas or lauk kari..lagi best you..lauk yang sungguh memorable lah..hehe. i nak try lah your style..i remember my mom selalu buat camtu..but she will goreng the ikan kembong membal she said..the taruk lada and bawang and then perah limau..fuhhhh..sedap :)

Kat kansas pong kener sakit jugak?. entah kenapa eh. Pat my working place pong ramai yang dah sakit jugak. batok2 dan running nose. I think kerje ofis air con ni tak bagus lah sebab virus cepat merebak.
